COVID 19 Policy

Please remember that no one should go to church if they are ill or have been in recent contact with someone who is ill. Also, the bathrooms will be available but please be aware that bathrooms present a higher potential for virus transmission.

Below is what you need to know before you return to worship in the sanctuary:

1) You will not be required to wear a face mask but you are encouraged to wear a face mask if you wish to, please bring your own face mask with you.

2) There will be only one entry door open for the congregation to enter the church. That entry door will be the main 'front' doors off of Tweedsmuir Avenue. The basement will be closed except for the washroom at the bottom of the stairs.

3) The elevator will be available as needed but the usher will NOT enter the elevator. The usher will control the elevator movement from outside the elevator.

4) Hand sanitizer will be available at the door and everyone will be required to use hand sanitizer as they enter the church.

5) Two of every three benches will be closed in order to facilitate social distancing. Please social distance from anyone outside of your existing social circle.

6) All doors will be opened after the church service for the congregation to exit the church.  Please observe social distancing as you exit the church.

7) Sunday School will not be offered. Children are welcome in the sanctuary.

8) Nursery will not be offered. Children are welcome in the sanctuary.

9) There will be no coffee social in the Fellowship Hall following the service.

10) There will be limited singing that will take place toward the end of the service.

11) The collection baskets will be placed at the four exit doors of the sanctuary and can be used for budget donations as well as collection causes.

We realize that we all want to let our guards down, but we can not let our guard down.  We are still living under pandemic conditions, even though the number of cases in Chatham-Kent remain relatively low.  I, Pastor Nate, want you to know that it is okay to stay home from church and watch over the screen or listen over the phone if you think this is right for you.  One day, we all hope and pray, we will be able to gather and sing at the top of our lungs and hug each other.  That day will come. But that day is not yet.
